There is a lot of debate regarding the ideal foods that can be given to stray dogs. Street dogs indeed have a sound immune system, but you can’t feed them anything you like.

What to feed your dog?
So for clearing all kinds of doubts, we will discuss the perfect diet to give your streeties. Any perfect, as well as nutritious diet, should include the right amounts of nutrients which are as follows -
- 45% CARBS which can include foods like Brown Rice, Sweet Potato, Oatmeal, Millet, Chickpeas, Barley, etc.
- 30% PROTEIN which can include foods like Eggs, Fish, Chicken, Milk, Beef, etc.
- 25% FATS which can include foods like Chicken Fat, Fish Oil, Pork Fat, Canola Oil, etc.
If your streeties is still a puppy, keep in mind that the same diet indulged by your adult streetie can not be indulged by a puppy.
Puppies can be given Cerelac mixed with water around 4-5 times a day till they’re 3 months of age.
Once your puppy is about 6 months old, you can start introducing solid food items 3 times a day.
After their completion of 6 months, you can reduce the number of times you serve them food to twice a day.
Summer Recipes to Feed Streeties -
An ideal and easy way to feed your neighborhood streeties would be by mixing some Chicken with rice and water in a pot. You can also add some eggs which would be much appreciated by our streeties. In summers chilled Yoghurt and Rice are the best food to give your streeties to beat the heat!
Any gesture by you to feed your strays will be much appreciated by them and we encourage you to do so. But it is extremely essential to keep in mind that all kinds of food are not suitable for our streeties. We must ensure to give them the appropriate food items that exist to be nutritious in nature and palatable.
